There is bold, creative experimental/noise/avant-jazz/improvisational music in Austin (and Houston) (and elsewhere in Texas).

Since 1996, Austinnitus has been a sporadic email newsletter listing upcoming performances in Austin, Texas of an experimental, noise, difficult, avant-jazz, sound art, action performance nature. Please subscribe if you are interested in these types of activities. I created this list because I was tired of seeing so few people at amazing, unique performances. If you perform in or produce any shows that are interesting, unconventional, experimental, please let me know. -Josh Ronsen
